Come play with clay! This class is for any skill level.
Those with experience can come in and start creating. Beginners will be shown the basics then guidance on how to get your project made.
Be sure to have an idea of what you'd like to make before you come.
Each workshop session takes place on two afternoons. On the first afternoon you'll form your projects from clay and on the second afternoon you'll apply the glaze (color).
Your pieces will be fired in Casita Workshop's kiln twice during the process. In class we'll set a pick-up day and time.
Since everyone works at different speeds, we found it works best to sell the clay separately. The cost for clay is $5 for 5 pounds. It is usually plenty for a day's work, but large projects might need more. Purchase your clay on this website (you'll find it listed at the end of the class list) and if you run out, more can be purchased in class. If you have leftover clay after a class, it can be saved at Casita Workshop for your next class or taken home for your own uses. We only fire pieces that were made in class.
Everything (other than the clay) is included in the price. Glazes, tools, forms, items to add texture... We also have stencils, templates and cookie cutters. (They aren't always out, so if you are interested ask to see them).
Our low fire clay, underglazes and clear glazes are all food safe.
Don't forget to purchase your 5 pounds of clay found on this website at the end of the classes ($5). If you forget, you can also purchase in class. (We always have white clay and sometimes also terracotta/red).
