OIL PAINTING: MAKE A GAMBEL'S QUAIL STUDY

We will be painting a small (8"X10") study on a prepared Ampersand hardboard panel of a male Gambel's Quail. We will explore different options relating to shadows, value changes and backgrounds as well as feather painting. Each participant will be able to develop their own creation and discuss with the instructor ways to best achieve their vision.
Oil Paint: Titanium White, your favorite Black, Raw Umber, Burnt Sienna, Yellow Ochre, Ultramarine Blue.
Brushes: Your favorite smaller brushes, to include at least a #0, #2, #4 soft rounds and a #4 and #6 flat or filbert (either soft or bristle).
Mediums: Odorless mineral solvent ( Gamsol, Turpenoid, or similar) or non toxic gels/liquids (your favorite) ( NO GLASS CONTAINERS)
Other: Paper towels, small palette, small table easel if you have one, apron or clothes that you regularly paint in.
