This is for artists of all levels who enjoy exploring many types of art media. Workshops are led by a different participant each month. A workshop might range from a watercolor technique to dyeing wool to exploring a new plaster sculpture product on the market. At the end of each meeting, someone volunteers to lead the next month’s workshop. Some can lead more often than others, but this only works if everyone takes a turn occasionally. Don't worry, nobody needs to be an expert in an area to lead a workshop. Introduce others to a medium, a technique or a product that you are familiar with, or one you've never done before but have wanted to try. You are welcome to find projects or products online as it's always fun to experiment and learn together. This is for those who want to explore a variety of art media AND are willing to lead a workshop occasionally. In addition to the Hangout fee, there may sometimes be an added expense that is needed to reimburse the person leading the workshop for needed supplies. Usually, participants will need to bring things from home for projects, but sometimes it is necessary for the workshop leader to spend money on something that is necessary for everyone to share. If so, an estimated amount will be given and agreed upon at the time the project is decided on. The fee will never be more than $10 unless all who are attending the class that day agree to an exception. Members should try to come regularly to know what to bring to the following workshop. Registration each month is on a first come basis. If you'd like to attend but weren't at the hangout the previous month, please contact Casita Workshop to find out if you need to bring anything.
