Service Description

This simple process of creating shapes from paper pulp is fun, relaxing, and tends to be addictive for all skill levels. We’ll use blenders, a variety of papers and water to make paper pulp. You’ll choose from an assortment of dried plant materials (flowers, leaves, spices, tea, sawdust, etc) to add to your pulp. Cookie cutters will be used as molds and you’ll learn to make thick, textured Christmas shapes. It is addictive and you are welcome to make many extra shapes. In the second meeting, choose your best shapes and glue them onto blank cards in an assortment of colors. Raffia will be available for bows. If you made extra shapes, you can take them home to make more cards or stay to make them into ornaments or gift tags by using twine and beads (optional). Everything is included to make 8 Christmas cards (and envelopes) in a variety of colors and 4 or more ornaments or gift tags. There is no need to bring anything, but… For those of you who think it would be added fun to gather paper and dried plant materials from home, please do! Papers can be newspaper, brown bags, colored paper. (Print on paper is fine). Dried plant materials can be those listed above or even scoop up dead leaves and flowers from the corner of your patio. Anything that was once part of a plant will be fun to experiment with and will make your pulp more interesting! Day 1: Make the pulp, create shapes and leave them here to dry. Day 2: Assemble the cards and ornaments. Age Adult (14+) No experience is necessary. Please wear a paint shirt or apron.
