Terms and Conditions of Casita Workshop

Suggestions

We welcome suggestions! Casita Workshop is all about providing a fun, informative and creative experience for our participants and we want you to let us know what we are doing right and/or what we can improve on. Send us an email or leave a note in the suggestion box located inside Casita Workshop on the red shelves. .  

Liability Waiver/Hold Harmless Agreement

All participants need to sign a Liability Waiver/Hold Harmless Agreement at the beginning of their first event held at Casita Workshop. It only needs to be signed one time - it will cover all future classes or visits of that participant.  

 

Filled Classes

If an event is full, contact us and we'll put you on its waiting list. If there are enough on the waiting list, it might be possible to open another class. Contact us at casitaworkshop@gmail.com.

Refund/Cancellations

 

        Cancellation by Casita Workshop or the Instructor 

Instructors are not employees of Casita Workshop. They rent the space and organize their own events. Instructors make every effort to go forward with each event however, there may be situations that won’t allow it. If an instructor needs to cancel a class for any reason, they reserve the right to cancel it. If an event is canceled, we will make every effort to contact participants before the event. Participants will have the choice of a full refund or a credit. 

 

        Cancellation by Student

If you feel sick, please stay home to protect others. Email us before the class begins to let us know. (This is done on the honor system). In this situation, you will be given a credit towards a future class (preferably by the same instructor). 

 
If a participant cancels 7 or more days before an event, a full refund will be given. Cancellations 6 days or closer to the event are a hardship on the instructor who has bought materials and has spent time planning and setting up. If you realize you can't make it within the 6 day period, you can give your ticket to a friend or you can have a credit as long as you have let us know in advance so that the instructor can make adjustments to the class. (Please use the credit within 6 months and preferably in a class from the same instructor.)

 

If you are a "no show" (you just don't show up), please don't expect a refund or credit. You can contact the instructor to ask for a credit just in case, but it is up to the instructor and will depend on a lot of things. Instructors do not need to have a reason or tell of her reason for not giving a credit. 

 

Gift Certificates

Purchased gift certificates are valid 12 months from the date of purchase.  

Marketing Material/Photos

From time to time we take photos during class of students and/or their artworks. These images are used for Casita Workshop's promotional purposes such as press advertising, brochures, social media, editorials and website. These photos will never be sold and will be used exclusively by and for Casita Workshop. By signing the Liability Waiver, your consent is implied. Should you not wish for us to take and use photos/images of you, your child or your artwork, please write that on the Liability Waiver (given to you at your first class) or notify us in writing.

Privacy

Contact information you supply to Casita Workshop will not be disclosed outside the studio. We do not retain any credit card information that you may provide. Our credit card service is Square (https://squareup.com/). We don't ever see your credit card number or have access to it. 

Casita Workshop will occasionally send emails to students and past students for the purpose of marketing. Should you not wish to receive mailings from Casita Workshop, please notify us that you wish to unsubscribe, and you will be removed from our mailing list.
